It would be nice if all the updates came straight from WDW but you don't have to be at WDW to get your status mapped. You can be sitting in your office, telling Twisney.com where you wish you were at WDW, and that'll be mapped too.

Using Twitter

Twitter.com is a new and free way of communicating in the "Web 2.0" world. If you don't know about Twitter yet, you should get up to speed and read more at Twitter.com.

Twisney.com recommends Twitter as the preferred approach for sending your status updates.

Once you're set up with Twitter, just start each status update with "@twisney". After that, add your status beginning with the location (like the email examples above). Every few minutes, Twisney.com checks Twitter and processes updates so that you and others can track your trip report. Here are some Twitter status update examples:

Appendix: Locations

Below is a list of locations and abbreviations (if available) that can be used in the status messages.

Note #1: You don't have to use these exact names. Put any shortened name you want for a location and it's likely we'll match it. We do other things like stripping out keywords such as "the", "at", spaces, etc. to do the match. And if it doesn't match, we'll do it manually (yes, we have tools that real people use to map statuses that aren't assigned to a location).

Note #2:: You don't have to memorize these names. Just use your common sense and abbreviate your location. Chances are that Twisney.com will be able to automatically match your status to a location. If it doesn't, it'll be located smack dab in the middle of WDW and you can fix it to the proper location later.
